Driven by sustainability imperatives and volatile production costs, European agriculture is undergoing significant transformations. To address these challenges, AgriBoom Ventures has raised €60 million to support agritech startups developing localized and immediately applicable solutions. Based in Česká Skalice, Czech Republic, this fund positions itself as a key player in accelerating practical innovation in agriculture.
Unlike many agritech funds that focus on reducing carbon emissions or combating climate change, AgriBoom Ventures prioritizes technologies that deliver direct benefits to farmers. Its goal is clear: to improve crop yields, optimize fertilizer usage, reduce chemical pesticides, and protect soil health. The selected solutions must address concrete needs in the field, such as in crop fields, greenhouses, or hop yards.
“We are looking for technologies that provide tangible benefits to farmers and agricultural businesses,” says Jan Harant, Director of AGRO CS, a strategic partner of the fund. “With the growing pressure of sustainability and input costs, farmers need solutions that work now.”
Beyond financial investment, AgriBoom Ventures offers direct access to the agricultural infrastructure of AGRO CS, one of the largest family holdings in the Czech Republic. Startups benefit from the opportunity to test their technologies in real-world conditions and gain immediate access to AGRO CS’s distribution networks. This model enables a faster integration of innovations into the market, shortening the timeline between technological development and commercial implementation.
The fund primarily targets startups based in Europe but is also open to companies from Israel, the United States, and Canada. Additionally, AgriBoom Ventures aims to invest in youth and academic innovation by collaborating with universities and research institutions. Funding starting at €10,000 is available to help turn emerging ideas into viable solutions.
