ISAGRI Group, the European leader in digital solutions for agriculture, has announced the acquisition of Sencrop, a specialist in agro-meteorological and irrigation solutions. This move aligns with ISAGRI’s Horizon 2028 project, which aims to position the group as a global technological leader in connected agriculture.
Addressing climate and economic challenges
Sencrop, recognized for its expertise in collaborative agro-meteorology, is now part of a solid, family-owned structure. Operating in 35 countries with over 40,000 active weather stations, the company plays a key role in managing climate and agronomic data. The acquisition will enable users – farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses – to benefit from an expanded network and enhanced service offerings.
This transaction comes at a time when farm margins are under increasing pressure and climate change demands an agro-environmental transition. “For farmers, acting at the right time with accurate weather data can make a significant difference in crop yields,” said Martin Ducroquet, co-founder of Sencrop.
Technological synergies and consolidation
Sencrop’s integration into ISAGRI Group strengthens the latter’s position in precision agriculture. By absorbing Météus, its in-house weather service, ISAGRI enhances its expertise in collecting and analyzing climate data. This partnership also consolidates solutions for irrigation and crop risk management while ensuring continuity of service for current users.
“This acquisition allows us to rely on a European tech gem that shares our DNA of innovation and customer service,” said Pascal Chevallier, ISAGRI’s Managing Director. Both companies plan to leverage their synergies to accelerate growth in Europe and globally.
A shared vision for the future of agriculture
Through this acquisition, ISAGRI is betting on data and artificial intelligence to meet the increasing demands of connected agriculture. The goal is to provide high-performance tools for optimized resource management, aligned with current environmental and economic needs.
For farmers, the partnership ensures the long-term sustainability of investments in weather stations and paves the way for even more effective solutions. “We are thrilled to accelerate the development of our collaborative platform and improve our services,” added Michaël Bruniaux, co-founder of Sencrop.
