Zaion raises 11 million euros to transform banking customer relations with AI.

Zaion, a Paris-based startup founded in 2017, specializes in developing conversational AI solutions for voice interactions, particularly in the banking and insurance sector. Zaion has announced a funding round of 11 million euros from 115K, the venture capital fund of La Banque Postale.

Zaion’s solutions focus on efficiency and enhancing customer experience through voice conversational agents capable of handling queries in natural language. One of the company’s most notable products, LUCY—a virtual assistant designed for La Banque Postale—handled over 2 million calls last year, significantly reducing the need to transfer calls to human advisors.

In 2024, Zaion’s technology was deployed on a large scale, managing over 25 million calls and demonstrating a substantial ability to handle high volumes while maintaining over 90% understanding in natural language.

In 2023, Zaion launched a generative AI solution, “Zaion Real Time Call Summary,” which creates instant summaries of calls, aiming to increase advisors’ productivity by reducing their administrative workload.

With this funding, Zaion plans to expand into Spain before entering other European markets.
