Dunia Innovations raises €10.6M to accelerate sustainable material discovery with AI and robotics

Dunia Innovations, a Berlin-based deep tech startup, has raised €10.6M in a funding round co-led by Elaia and Redalpine, with participation from EIC, Pace Ventures, Kindred Capital, Deep Science Ventures, and Anglo American. The startup is developing a unique platform that combines physics-informed AI and automated robotics to revolutionize the discovery of new electroactive materials.

Their technology autonomously designs, tests, and refines materials, reducing development time from several years to just a few months. Key applications include green hydrogen production, CO2 capture, and renewable energy storage. Through self-driving labs, Dunia integrates real-world testing data back into its AI models, ensuring that the discovered materials are not only theoretically promising but also scalable for industrial use.
