IADYS raises €10 million to bring robotics to oceans and industry

Nicolas Carlesi, Founder and CEO of IADYS

Founded in 2016 in Roquefort-La Bédoule near Marseille, IADYS develops robotic solutions for water decontamination and biodiversity preservation. Known for its Jellyfishbot, an autonomous robot that collects floating waste and hydrocarbons, the French startup is now expanding its focus to serve industrial sectors.

Solutions for industrial challenges

With the Jellyfishbot Expert and the Mobile Oil Skimmer (MOS), IADYS now offers tailored solutions for the petrochemical and plastics industries. By introducing a docking station and a system for geolocated sample collection, the startup is addressing the pollution management needs of industrial sites, where environmental concerns are becoming paramount.

Expansion into the United States

To support its international growth, IADYS will soon open an office in Houston, Texas. This new base will allow the company to assist American industrial clients with local logistical and technical support in a strategic market moving toward environmental transformation.

Fundraising and strategic support

IADYS has raised €10 million to accelerate its growth, backed by new investors GO Capital (Impact Océan Capital fund) and Innovacom (Avenir Numérique 3 and Industrie d’Avenir et Territoires funds). They join the company’s longstanding partners: Région Sud InvestissementAbeille Assurances (managed by INCO Ventures), Sud Mer Invest (Banque Populaire du Sud), France Active Investissement, and the Angel’s Bay Invest business angels. This funding will enable IADYS to scale up production, expand its team, and drive international growth. The startup is also supported by BPI France under the France 2030 Program, along with banking partners Crédit Agricole Alpes-Provence and CIC.
